Thrust into fine watchmaking at a tender age, Richard Habring attended training at the renowned watchmaker’s school in Karlstein, Austria, in 1985, where the first clock that bore the ‘Habring’ signature was born. After completing his studies, Richard’s ventured into the restoration and repair of fine vintage clocks and watches. During his stint revitalizing old timepieces, he constantly challenged the engineering and construction of watch movements, searching for solutions in designing movements. His exceptional talent led him to produce his very first minute tourbillon in a tiny in-line movement; this hallmarked the start of his illustrious career as master watchmaker in notable watch houses including IWC, A. Lange & Söhne and Jaeger-LeCoultre.
With his unparallel flair for watchmaking, Richard furthered his technical vocation through the immaculate marriage of Maria-Kristina Habring and Richard Habring as both life and business partners. Habring2 is the result of the eminent synergy and dynamism between the couple. Driven by the passion to create, Maria and Richard invest paramount commitment and intricacy to producing timepieces that are individually constructed and skillfully finished to a high degree of perfection.
Every Habring2 masterpiece embodies elements of reliability, ingenuity and exclusivity.
